The Cultural Center of Charlotte County is proud to recognize their 2012 Honoree, Thomas J. Rice as an individual who represents the very best in community leadership and support. Annual recognition of an Honoree was instituted by the Center in 1993 as a way to commend individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the citizens of Charlotte County, while increasing awareness of the Cultural Center, its services, and its benefits to the community.
Tom Rice, Chief Executive Officer of Fawcett Memorial Hospital has been very active in his nearly 12 years in Charlotte County. He currently serves as a member of the Florida Gulf Coast University Charlotte County Advisory Board, Team Port Charlotte, Florida Gulf Coast University Foundation Board, Enterprise Charlotte Economic Council, American Cancer Society Charlotte County Board, American Heart Association Charlotte County Advisory Board. In addition, he was past president of the United Way of Charlotte County, past president of the Charlotte County Chamber of Commerce, a past member of the Charlotte County Local Education Foundation and has served on two Charlotte County Charter Review Commissions. He and his wife, Linda, are members of Church of the Good Shepherd Episcopal Church.
The event will take place on May 20, 2012 starting with a social hour at 5pm. tickets to this event are $75, which a portion of this is tax deductible.
